Convert Unicode Source To Characters
Just 31 lines of code, but it has always bothered me to look at the “unclean” source with all those unicode numbers that WordPress spits out of its database.
Currently it converts the following:
‘ to ‘
’ to ’
“ to “
” to ”
- to –
— to —
… to …
& to &
Version 1.2 will have the ability to add FROM and TO values, as there may be some cases where you want strings converted.
The conversion is done on the fly and there is no noticeable change in speed.
I will be uploading it into the WordPress Plugin Directory shortly, but until then you can access it here.
Click on Convert Unicode Source To Characters and unzip the ZIPed Plugin, then you can save the plugin to your storage device.
