So the plan is to read these 3 Wind Power Books and do a review on each of them. That should give me a pretty good foundational understanding of how to harness wind power on the head knowledge level. On a practical level I will know nothing.

I do plan to go and visit some installs. And I plan on doing reports on those and posting some pictures. I also have been googling up online wind turbine installs and I plan on doing a report on that.

These 3 books were recommended to me by Dan Bartmann who is the owner of OtherPower and the co-author of Homebrew Wind Power: A Hands-On Guiide to Harnessing the Wind.

Okay the 3 books. Here they are.

    Hi Bob
Have you ever looked into the ’small town’ hydro generators designed by the U of W engenearing department. It needs a 6 inch flow of water and a 6 foot drop to provide electricity for a village the last I saw them. There are a few OO Menonites north of Waterloo that have been using them to run their farms for several years. The engenearing department has designed many third world applications for wind and water energy.

    Hi Dennis,

I googled around trying to find the above information you posted but was unable. Could you please send me a link.

    Christian love and prayers,

    Bob.
