Twitter LogoTwitter is a social media where you post 140 character messages. You have the ability to follow people and have people follow you. When you log into your twitter account you will see all the messages from those that you are following.

Seeing how you only have 140 character to put a message in some times you need to shorten up the words you are using.

I will be adding to this list as I learn more short cuts for works.

One Letter Abbreviations
@ = at
c = sea, see
u = you
r = are, or
n = and
d = the
k = okay
2 = to, too, two, also
4 = for, four

Two Letter Abbreviations
ur = your
b4 = before
fb = facebook
w/ = with
ic = I see
np = no problem
rl = real life (off the internet)
wb = welcome back
ab = about
su = see you
bf = boyfriend
gf = girlfriend
na = non applicable
em = them
gd = good

Three Letter Abbreviations
ear = here
hav = have
til = until
edu = education
mil = military
fig = figurative
esp = especially
dif = difference
wld = would
thx = thanks
shld = should
ppl = people
plz = please
gr8 = great
fab = fabulous
fav = favorite
chk = check
cld = could
abt = about
b/c = because

Four Letter Abbreviations
asap = as soon as possible
awfk = away from keyboard
orig = original
bout = about

Five Letter Abbreviations
puter = computer

Other Tips:
–If you want to make a URL hot you can use www.domain.com instead of http://www.domain.com/ as this saves 8 spaces.
–When you use numbers you can remove the trailing space ie “I got that4 john2″
