Nov 10

Bob Mutch At WorkVictor Wiebe started working for me on October the 16th and John Banman started on November the 2nd. Today we decided to spend the first 1/2 hour of each morning in sharing of scriptures that the Lord has been revealing to us and in prayer.

Here are some of the things we discussed.

John Banman At Work–”He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.” (Pro 10:4).

Victor Wiebe At WorkThe Christian that is lazy in their seeking of God in pray, reading, study, and reaching out to the lost will be poor spiritually. The Christian that is diligent in their seeking of God in pray, reading, study, and reaching out to the lost will be spiritually rich.

–”…he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.” Pro 10:5b.

Today is the time of harvest of souls. Jesus said “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” Matt 9:37-38. Those that are spiritually asleep and not working in this harvest are acting shamefully.

–”Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.” Joh 16:7-11

Our ministery is that the Spirit of God would convict men of sin, righteousness, and judgment through our labors. If we are not convicting men of sin we have no reason to believe that the Spirit of God is laboring with us.

–”Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thes 4:17-18.

Paul exhorted us to comford one another in that we are to be looking for the coming or Christ. The Greek word translated comfort here means to give one another strength and courage. We provide each other with strength and courage by reminding each other that Jesus is coming back soon and our need to be ready ourselves and to labor to help others be ready.
