CCleaner is a free system optimization tool. My friend Rob Calam recommended it to me. I am not much for optimization and cleaning tools but I have found this to be a nice tool.

It removes unused files from your system which allows Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner. But the best part is that it’s fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware! :)

This is a Windows utility. I am not sure what is good in the Mac world.
