Well my month of fasting from news and chess is almost over. I have been using the extra time taking care of projects with a couple of new business endeavers I have started.
In the last couple of days I have also cut back on my gadget blog reading and have been trying to keep that under 30 minutes a day.
Things have gone so well that I am going to extent things a month and also give up gadget blog reading. This will be a real sacrifice for me as on April the 3rd the iPad be go on sale and as I plan on getting one I would find news on the product of great interest.
All my life I have struggled with temperance. I don’t seem to have a problem giving anything up but doing things in moderation has always been difficult.
In this next month my plan is to read 10 chapters a day and get all the way through the New Covenant scriptures, spend more time memerizing scriptures, write articles more often on my blog, and spend more time in prayer.
I am committed to keep on cutting things out of my life and making more time for those things that are important.
If you have any tips or experiences you have to share on this topic feel free to post them in the comments.

Amen, Bob.
When we get to our last breath, I dont think we will regret having cut out of our life all those things that dont have any eternal value. May we use all our time extending the reign of Jesus in this world, and conquering evil by doing good.
