Are You Using the NIV Translation?

I was at a home Bible study group last night and after the study was over we ended up discussing the lives of the people involved in translating the different Bible versions. While I had not heard it before, Dr. Virginia Mollenkott was a consultant to the NIV translation committee – who is an openly professed homosexual.

While I couldn’t find the quote online, it has been stated that Dr. Virginia Mollenkott admitted in the Episcopal magazine, Witness (June 1991, pp. 20-23), “My homosexuality has always been a part of me…”.

It also has been alleged that Dr. Marten Woudstra who was the Chairman of the NIV Old Testament Committee was a homosexual.
