022309 WeightMy weigh in this morning was 176.8 and after my 6.5km run 175.4. I will try hard to keep low calories today so I can hit 174.x tomorrow.

The sun was shining, temperature was -6C and there was a good wind this morning. I was out before 9am but I still want to get out earlier.

It would be nice if I could get back to the office by 8:30am and have breakfast before 9am. I’m working on it.

Garmin Forerunner 305I ordered a Garmin 305 from GPS Central for $229.95 plus GST ($241.45 total).

They are on the 2nd page for the key phase garmin forerunner 305 for sale canada so they were easy to find.

The best price I could find on eBay was with power seller GeekDeal. They are selling refurbished 305’s for $152.80 with FedEx Int. Priority (1-2 day transit time) shipping to Canada for $21.56.

There is a USPS Express Mail price of $16 but you may end up paying brokerage fees if you don’t go FedEx Priority. Then GST on top of that brings the price to $222.91 with the US to CDN exchange rate at 1.2785.

So for $18.54 difference I took the new product over the refurbished product and made my purchase in Canada.

The reason I purchased this product is to monitor my heart rate and use the function that gives alarms when your running pace is below or above the maximum fat burning zone. If your pace is to slow it will sound an alarm and if you are running to hard it will also let give you an audio alarm.

I have been looking at this product for over a year but was waiting until I get to the point where I very sure I am going to use it. I have been running 6 days a week for the last month and I felt like it was time to make the purchase.
