012109 WeightWell after a very high calorie day of 2287 yesterday I cut back to 1128 calories with a 4.27km run trying to register a weight loss for today.

I weighed in first things this morning at 181.8 pounds which is 0.8 pounds heavier than yesterday and after my 4pm run I was only 181.4.

My first weight gain. I tried every thing, couple of sets of 25 push ups, blew my nose a number of times, spit in the sink for a while — all to no avail. I have gained weight!

I guess I am kind of calorie cycling or doing a zig-zag calorie intake but not on purpose. Calorie cycling or zig-zag calorie intake is used to prevent or break a weight loss plateau.

A weight loss plateaus is when you reach a plateau in your weight loss program where with your set daily calorie intake and exercise you are no longer loosing weight. Here is good blog post on breaking a weight loss plateau.

With calorie cycling you use the same same amount of calories each week but you trick your body by changing your daily intake. This will help you to either prevent or break a weight loss plateau.

Anyway I am at 1590 calories today and tomorrow morning will be interesting. I am hoping for a wake up weight of 180.4 tomorrow morning.
